Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov purchased the most expensive apartment in Monaco

Rinat Akhmetov bought an apartment in Monaco for a record $550 million, Bloomberg reports.

This is one of the largest transactions in the history of residential real estate sales.

For this price, the Ukrainian businessman purchased a 21-room, five-story luxury apartment in Monaco’s most prestigious new residential complex on the waterfront in the Mareterra district.

The apartment is located in the flagship Le Renzo building. It measures approximately 2,500 square meters, not including balconies and terraces overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. It features a swimming pool, a jacuzzi, and at least eight parking spaces.

The transaction took place back in 2024, but the press only now learned of its documents. Akhmetov’s holding company, SCM, confirmed the acquisition of real estate in this complex.
